Sonrisas brings locally accessible, community-based services to 8,000+ children, families, and residents in San Mateo County.
Our programs include:
- Clinical dentistry at 3 clinic locations in San Mateo, Half Moon Bay, and La Honda
- Community and school-based oral health screenings, health education, and care navigation
- Community health worker services for families with children and older adults
- Engaging the next generation of providers in community dentistry
With a new pilot program, Sonrisas is working with families and caregivers of children and young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDDs), helping those children and young adults acclimate to medical equipment, settings, and stimuli in their homes, schools, or care centers.
Sonrisas is a key leader in San Mateo County’s Oral Health Coalition, advocating for oral health access for everyone in our county – regardless of financial, developmental, or physical barriers – becomes a reality.
